All: But their hearts are firm, and kept safe in the Lord!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: O mighty and everlasting God, we have come into this space to offer you our prayers and worship together. We ask for your blessing on your church and on all people who gather in your name. Help us to be receptive to your presence in our lives, that our hearts may overflow in your love, and our spirits may be restored in your joy. We pray this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

PASSING OF THE PEACE
PRAYER FOR GRACE (Book of Common Worship)
All: God of mercy, you sent Jesus Christ to seek and to save the lost. We confess that we have strayed from you and turned aside from your way. We are misled by pride, for we see ourselves pure when we are stained, and great when we are small. We have failed in love, neglected injustice, and ignored your truth. Have mercy on us, O God, and forgive our sin.
Return us to paths of righteousness through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
(to be sung - Hear our prayer O Lord. Hear our prayer O Lord. Incline thine ear to us, and grant us Thy peace. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE (Romans 10:11-13)
