CALL TO WORSHIP (Adapted from Psalm 147:12-20)
Leader: Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Give praise to your God!
People: For he strengthens our gates and blesses the children within our walls.
Leader: He grants peace within your borders and fills your granaries with the finest wheat;
People: He gives his commands to the earth and his Word moves swiftly.
Leader: He sends out his Word; he makes the winds blow and the waters flow.
People: He gives his Word to the land of Jacob, to the people of Israel.
Leader: God’s Word is for God’s people;
All: Praise the Lord!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: God of grace, you have given us minds to know you, hearts to love you, and voices to sing your praise. Fill us with your Spirit, that we may celebrate your glory, and worship you in spirit and in truth. We pray this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: God, our Creator, we confess that we are broken and sinful. You call on us to change our lives, but we do not heed your warning. You give us good news to share, but we stay stubborn and silent. God of grace, forgive us. Help us to repent and to follow you. Help us to bear witness to the good news that your holy realm is near. In your holy name we pray, Amen.
