CALL TO WORSHIP (Adapted from Psalm 71)
Pastor: In you, O Lord, we take our refuge;
People: Never let us be put to shame.
Pastor: Deliver us in your righteousness and rescue us;
People: Incline your ear to us and save us.
Pastor: Be our rock of refuge, and our strong fortress;
People: Rescue us from the hand of the wicked and the grasp of the unjust.
Pastor: For you, O Lord, are our hope and our trust;
People: For we have leaned on you since you brought us out of our mothers’ wombs.
Pastor: Our praise is continually of you.
All: O Lord, we give you our constant praise!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: Holy Lord, your Word is known to the far corners of the earth. On every continent your works are adored and your name is praised. Join our voices to the great chorus of the faithful. Bless us in our worship of you. Renew our hearts with your love and kindness. And pour out your peace and presence on each of us gathered this morning. We ask your blessing through the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
HYMN OF PRAISE “Sing Praise to the Lord” - Organist Ben Benfer
PRAYER OF FOR GRACE (Sarum Rite; Salisbury, UK; 11th century)
All: O Lord, feed your people with your grace, and deliver our souls from the death of sin. Fill us with your mercy, that we may be united with the joys of the righteous; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE (John 16:33)
Jesus replied, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! For I have overcome the world.”
CALL TO FAITHFUL LIVING (James 1:19-20)
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION

APOSTLES CREED
I believe in God the Father, almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
The third day he rose from the dead
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy catholic church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER, LORD’s PRAYER, & BENEDICTION
Almighty God,
We pray to you this morning as people needing revival.
As we recover from illnesses,
As we dig out from storms,
As we pray for peace,
We seek your guidance.
Give your blessings to all those who need it:
The poor, the sick, the unfortunate,
and all those who seek your comfort.
We pray this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ,
The one who taught us to pray with these words,
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins,
As we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.
Amen.
