Pastor: Arise! Shine! For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
People: Nations will come to your light, and kings will come to the brightness of your dawn.
Pastor: Lift up your eyes and look around; for all come together to gather to you.
People: Yours sons and daughters will come from far away.
Pastor: Then you will see and be radiant;
People: And your heart will thrill and rejoice.
Pastor: All the wealth of the nations will come to you; they will bring gold and frankincense;
All: And they will proclaim the praise of the Lord!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: God of Peace and Love, we pray to you! We have seen your star, and your light has come! We have heard the song of your angels, and we rejoice in your love! Lord, be with us as we worship you, and as we follow your light into the world! We pray to you through Jesus Christ, our light and salvation! Amen!

PASSING OF THE PEACE
PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: God of grace, hear our prayer. You shine your light into the darkest recesses of our lives, yet we turn back to into the shadows. You bless us with the peace of your love, yet we prefer the distractions of our world. Forgive us, Lord, for all the ways in which we fail to notice you and live in your good news. Help us to know the light and never fear the darkness. In the light of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
