Pastor: Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people chosen as his heritage;
People: The Lord looks down from heaven, seeing all of humankind.
Pastor: From where he sits enthroned he sees all the inhabitants of the earth,
People: He fashions the hearts of all people and sees all their deeds.
Pastor: A king is not saved by his army; a warrior is not delivered by their great strength.
People: The war horse is a vain hope for victory; its great might cannot save.
Pastor: But the eye of the Lord is on those who live in awe of him,
People: And he sees those who hope in his steadfast love.
Pastor: Our soul waits for the Lord, for he is our help and our shield.
