Leader: Protect me, O God,
People: For in you I take refuge.
Leader: The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup,
People: You hold my lot.
Leader: I keep the Lord always before me;
People: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Leader: Therefore, my heart is glad and my soul rejoices;
People: And my body rests secure.
Leader: For you do not give me up to Sheol,
People: Or let your faithful one see the Pit.
Leader: You show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy,
All: At your right hand are pleasures forevermore!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: Gracious God, in whom we place all our trust, we pray to you. Awaken us to the blessings of your presence. Show to us the good things you have in store for your people. Make every heart beat strongly in your faith. We pray to know you, to serve you, and to love you better. Through the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen.
(to be sung - Hear our prayer O Lord. Hear our prayer O Lord. Incline thine ear to us, and grant us Thy peace. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE (Lamentations 3:22-23)
