People: A fortress of salvation for his anointed ones.

All: Be their shepherd, and carry them forever!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: O mighty and everlasting God, we have come into this space to offer you our prayers and worship together. We ask for your blessing on your church and on all people who gather in your name. Help us to be receptive to your presence in our lives, that our hearts may overflow in your love, and our spirits may be restored in your joy. We pray this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: Most merciful God, hear our prayer. You love us and care for us as the sheep of your fold. You provide for us and nurture us with the food of your presence and the waters of your grace. Yet we still go our own way as though we do not need your love. We wander astray as if we could live this life on our own. Lord, forgive. Call us back. Remind us of your gentle word and grace-filled promises. Guide us by your voice back to your loving home. For the sake of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
(Responsive Hymn #817) - Hear our prayer O Lord. Hear our prayer O Lord. Incline thine ear to us, and grant us Thy peace. Amen.
