Pastor: Happy is the one whose transgressions are forgiven and whose sins are covered;
People: Happy is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them.
Pastor: While I kept silence my body wasted away through my groaning, all day long.
People: For day and night your hand was heavy upon me and my strength was dried up.
Pastor: Then I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not hide my iniquity;
People: I said, “I will confess my trespasses to the Lord” and you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Pastor: Therefore, let all who are faithful offer prayer to you;
People: At a time of distress, the rush of the waters shall not reach them.
Pastor: For you are a hiding place for me, you preserve me from trouble;
People: And you surround me with glad cries of deliverance
Pastor: Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice!
All: Let all the righteous shout for joy!
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: God of grace and majesty, we come before you as we are. We are broken and burdened, and find healing in your goodness. We are gifted and beloved, and find purpose in your calling. We are weary and wary, and find comfort in your embrace. Lord, bless us as we worship you with gladness, and help us to trust in you with our whole hearts. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: Holy Lord, it is only in you that we live and move and have our being. Forgive us when we ignore your presence. Have mercy on us when we place our trust in things that fade. By your faith, move us to be more faithful disciples. By your forgiveness, empower us to forgive others. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
