Leader: O Lord, we give you thanks with our whole hearts!
People: Before the heavens we sing your praise!
Leader: We bow to your holy temple, giving thanks for your steadfast love and faithfulness!
People: For your name and your word are exalted above everything!
Leader: On the day we called you, you answered;
People: And you increased the strength of our souls.
Leader: All the kings of the earth will praise you, O Lord,
People: For they have heard the words of your mouth.
Leader: They shall sing the ways of the Lord,
People: For great is the glory of the Lord!
Leader: The Lord will fulfill his purpose for us;
All: For we are the work of his hands, and his steadfast love endures forever.
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: God of grace, you have seen us through many storms and trials. We ask your blessing this morning as we gather in your worship. Help us to be faithful to you, as you have been faithful to us. Awaken us to your loving presence and bless us in our praise and prayers to you. We pray this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.

PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: Gracious God, we humbly ask your forgiveness. You have called us into your service, but we have not responded in faith. You have put your law in our minds and on our hearts, yet we still refuse to obey. You have invited us to love, and we have responded with fear. Most merciful God, forgive us for our actions and inactions. Lead us to be more faithful disciples. For the grace of your love we pray, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
