Pastor: Have mercy on us, O God, according to your steadfast love.
People: According to your abundant mercy, blot out our transgressions.
Pastor: Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
People: And cleanse us from our sin.
Pastor: For we know our transgressions,
People: And our sin is ever before us.
Pastor: You desire truth in the inward being,
People: Therefore teach us wisdom in our innermost hearts.
Pastor: Purge us with hyssop and we will be clean,
People: Wash us, and we shall be whiter than snow.
Pastor: Restore to us the joy of your salvation,
All: And sustain in us a willing spirit.
PRAYER OF PRESENCE
All: O mighty and everlasting God, we have come into this space to offer you our prayers and worship together. We ask for your blessing on your church and on all people who gather in your name. Help us to be receptive to your presence in our lives, that our hearts may overflow in your love, and our spirits may be restored in your joy. We pray this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

PASSING OF THE PEACE
PRAYER FOR GRACE
All: Most merciful God, hear our prayer. You provide for us and nurture us with the food of your kingdom and the waters of your grace. Yet we still wander astray as though we do not need your love. We carry on as though we could live this life on our own. Lord, forgive us. Call us home and remind us of your gentle word and promise of grace. For the sake of the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
(Responsive Hymn #817) - Hear our prayer O Lord. Hear our prayer O Lord. Incline thine ear to us, and grant us Thy peace. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE (Matthew 11:28-30)
All: Jesus said to them, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
*Gloria Patri: Glory be to The Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be;
World without end; Amen, amen.
CALL TO FAITHFUL LIVING – Romans 13:8-10
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another; for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
